Common Questions About Psychovocational Assessments

What is a Psychovocational Assessment?

A psychovocational assessment is designed to explore your unique psychological personality, personal interests, and academic achievements to provide an understanding of your potential career paths. Our goal is to help you gain knowledge and insights that can start you on your journey of finding the next steps.

The Process

First Step: Initial Virtual Consultation

The assessment begins with an initial meeting where we discuss the informed consent process, ensuring you understand and are comfortable with each step of the assessment. This session also gives us a chance to delve into your current thoughts about potential careers and education.

Second Step: Questionnaires

You will complete a series of questionnaires, including personality tests and career interest inventories. These are designed to help us to gather essential information about your preferences, interests, values and goals for the future.

Third Step: Results and Report

The culmination of the assessment is a personalized report that outlines your primary career paths. This report is more than just a list of job titles; it's a roadmap to making one of the most important decisions of your life, with detailed insights into the careers that align with your unique profile.

Fourth Step: Optional Follow-up Consultation

Once you have had some time to work towards your goals and have additional questions, you can schedule a follow-up consultation. This session will allow us to explore your personalized report in greater depth and address any new concerns or insights you may have.

Who can benefit from a psychovocational assessment?

Our service is suited for anyone aged 16 to 21 who is considering their future career and educational options. Whether you are just starting to think about potential careers or are looking to refine your current direction, a psychovocational assessment can provide valuable insights.

What is the Cost?

Blue Door Psychological Services is offering this service at $250 per hour for 4 hours total for the complete assessment including a feedback session and cost of all testing materials. Clients are charged the full amount at the end of the assessment once a feedback session is provided.
