What is Involved in a Comprehensive ADHD Assessment

Our ADHD assessments include multiple evidence-based components to ensure accurate diagnosis and effective recommendations:

• Parent & Child Interviews: Detailed interviews to gather developmental, medical, educational, and behavioral history.

• Behavioral Observations: Structured observation of behavior in the clinic setting and review of behavior in other environments.

• Standardized ADHD Questionnaires: Validated rating scales completed by parents, teachers, and (when appropriate) the client.

• Co-occurring Condition Evaluation: Screening and assessment for additional concerns such as learning disabilities, anxiety, or mood disorders.

• Cognitive & Academic Testing: Direct assessment of cognitive abilities, executive functioning, attention, and academic skills as needed.

  Assessment Cost

  
  Our fees align with the standards set by the Ontario College of Psychologists ($250 per billable hour). A comprehensive ADHD assessment typically requires 12–14 hours from intake to feedback.

  Clients pay half the estimated cost at the midpoint of the assessment process, with the balance due at completion. A detailed written ADHD assessment report is provided at the end of the process.

Does my Insurance Cover the Assessment Costs?

If you have health insurance, check with your provider to see if they will cover the cost of a psychological assessment. Some insurance companies will only pay for part of the cost or have a limit on how much they will pay. They might also require a referral from your primary care doctor or another healthcare professional.

Each client is provided with signed invoices detailing each hour to submit to their insurance provider.
