For the past decade I have been exploring my passion in helping those with learning challenges build strategies for success, and supporting people to address learning and mental health barriers and adversity. My early career focused on researching motivational factors that contribute to learning and interventions, while I later developed a passion for working in applied psychology settings.
My assessments look to assess how a child is developing in key areas of life (i.e., emotionally, behaviourally, cognitively) and provide recommendations on the next steps that are specific to their individual needs. I also take a neurodiverse lens to my assessments recognizing that we all are unique, and our characteristics of learning represent a diversity of strengths and barriers. I am committed to recognizing and embracing the individuality that shapes our learning.
In providing psychoeducational assessments, I strive to offer insights into the challenges one faces and personalized recommendations for guidance.
On a personal note, I am a nature enthusiast, and I spend most of my free time hiking, skiing, running, and exploring the beautiful Ottawa-Gatineau area with my family.
